Patient Access Representative II - Evening Mid Shift Los Angeles

Manage patient admissions and outpatient scheduling while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with hospital policies. What You'll Do11
- 1Arrange efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and outpatients
- 2Collect accurate patient information and inform them of hospital policies
- 3Obtain Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire for Hollywood and Van Nuys locations
- 4Prepare patient financial folders and distribute to appropriate departments
- 5Verify insurance coverage and eligibility before services
- 6Operate PBX system to answer calls and transfer to relevant departments
- 7Ensure physicians are authorized to admit patients
- 8Maintain confidentiality of patient information and provide safe environment
- 9Track lifting requirements up to 50 lbs and operate vehicles as needed
- 10Perform paging via overhead systems and report emergency codes
- 11Drive to complete administrative tasks and support staff
Requirements10
- 12 years admitting office or PBX operator experience
- 2High School Diploma or GED
- 3Basic understanding of medical terminology
- 4Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- 5Strong time management abilities
- 6Customer service orientation appropriate for healthcare settings
- 7Valid Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card for Hollywood and Van Nuys locations
- 8Bilingual communication skills preferred
- 9Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- 10Valid driver's license
