Associate Attorney Litigation Seattle
Overview
You will own complex civil litigation cases from inception through trial at a reputable Seattle practice. Working with a team of experienced litigators, you will manage case strategy, client communication, and courtroom appearances. This role offers direct client interaction and meaningful responsibility in a collegial environment. You will see cases through to resolution with hands-on involvement in every phase.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage civil litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle, from pleadings through trial.
- 2Meet with clients to evaluate claims, discuss strategy, and provide legal guidance.
- 3Conduct factual investigations and legal research to build case strategies.
- 4Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- 5Handle written discovery and disputes, including responses and motions.
- 6Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and third-party witnesses.
- 7Appear in court for hearings, motions, and case management proceedings.
- 8Participate in settlement discussions, mediation, and negotiations.
- 9Assist with and conduct trials, arbitrations, and evidentiary hearings as needed.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of civil litigation experience.
- 2Demonstrated experience with motion practice.
- 3Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
- 4Experience managing cases with increasing levels of responsibility.
- 5Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- 6Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- 7Active Washington State Bar membership or eligibility for admission.
Salary Insight
$150 - $160k per year
