Assistant Store Manager Retail Operations
Overview
You will own store operations at a high-volume Dollar Tree location, managing daily activities, team development, and customer experience. You will coordinate inventory flow from delivery truck to sales floor, execute corporate directives, and maintain store standards. Working directly with the Store Manager, you will supervise, train, and develop associates while ensuring safety and compliance. What You'll Do9
- 1Run day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- 2Lead customer interactions, resolving issues and answering questions to maintain a positive shopping environment.
- 3Oversee merchandise flow from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, keeping seasonal displays fresh and organized.
- 4Execute corporate directives for Pull and Hold, Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey requests.
- 5Drive promotional effectiveness by maintaining store-front fixtures and displays to company standards.
- 6Manage ordering, damaged merchandise processing, and record keeping for payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits.
- 7Enforce loss prevention procedures to protect all company assets, including store cash.
- 8Train and develop store associates on policies, safety guidelines, and customer service standards.
- 9Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal, to uphold a neat and presentable environment.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3Ability to lift 55 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- 4Proven ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives, including merchandise schematics.
- 5Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills to collaborate with associates and customers.
- 6Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- 7Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and make decisions under pressure.
- 8Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
