Assistant Store Manager, Retail Operations
Overview
You will own daily store operations at a high-volume Dollar Tree location, driving sales, customer satisfaction, and team performance. You coordinate merchandising, inventory, and staff development across a 3-5 person team. You report directly to the Store Manager and collaborate with district leadership on loss prevention and compliance initiatives. What You'll Do10
- 1Supervise store associates in daily tasks, setting priorities and modeling customer service standards.
- 2Execute merchandising plans, including seasonal resets, to maximize sales and promote visual appeal.
- 3Coordinate truck deliveries, unload and stock merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized backroom.
- 4Process inventory control tasks, including damaged goods, returns, and cycle counts.
- 5Manage cash handling procedures, including register deposits and reconciliation.
- 6Enforce safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a secure environment for staff and customers.
- 7Train and coach associates on selling skills and operational excellence, fostering a positive work culture.
- 8Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with a focus on satisfaction and retention.
- 9Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms and sales floor, to company standards.
- 10Complete opening and closing duties, including security checks and paperwork.
Requirements6
- 11-2 years of retail or grocery store management experience preferred.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent; ability to interpret store directives and schematics.
- 3Physical stamina to lift 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team and customer interactions.
- 5Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
