Assistant Store Manager, Retail Operations
Overview
You will own daily store operations at a high-volume Dollar Tree location, overseeing customer service, merchandising, and team development. You will coordinate with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure a safe, clean environment. This role requires strong leadership and operational discipline to keep the store running efficiently. You will directly shape the customer experience and associate performance from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own opening and closing procedures, including cash management and store security.
- 2Lead the execution of corporate directives such as Pull and Hold, Task Compliance, and Key Survey requests.
- 3Drive merchandising standards by organizing stockrooms, restocking sales floors, and maintaining seasonal displays.
- 4Supervise and train store associates, fostering a positive and respectful team culture.
- 5Monitor inventory levels, process damaged merchandise, and support accurate record keeping for payroll and deposits.
- 6Ensure store cleanliness and safety by maintaining bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal to company standards.
- 7Protect company assets by enforcing loss prevention procedures and securing cash.
- 8Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns in a friendly manner.
Requirements6
- 11+ years of retail or grocery store management experience preferred.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret operational directives required.
- 3Proven ability to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and repetitive lifting.
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership.
- 5Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with a customer-first mindset.
