Assistant Manager, Retail Operations
Overview
Own store operations and customer service at a Dollar Tree location in Phoenix. Lead day-to-day activities, organize merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and maintain clean, well-stocked areas. Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop Associates and ensure policies are followed. This role emphasizes hands-on supervision, teamwork, and delivering a positive customer experience.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead opening and closing procedures and manage daily store activities
- 2Organize, stock, and rotate merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
- 3Assist customers with a positive, approachable demeanor and resolve questions or concerns
- 4Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention processes
- 5Supervise and train Store Associates, fostering a safe, respectful environment
- 6Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, and presentation of fixtures and displays
- 7Process corporate directives including compliance tasks and communications related to store activities
- 8Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged goods
- 9Protect and secure store assets including cash and inventory
- 10Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure team compliance
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- 3Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling
- 4Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- 5Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide exceptional customer service
