Assistant Director of Nursing RN, Long-Term Care
Overview
You will own care quality and nursing operations at a skilled nursing facility in Kansas City, supporting residents and leading the nursing team. You will partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee 24/7 clinical operations, and step into the Director's role in their absence. You will ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, and coordinate plans for total resident care. What You'll Do6
- 1Coordinate total resident care plans that comply with physician's orders, governmental regulations, and facility policies.
- 2Communicate and interpret nursing policies to staff, and audit staff practices for adherence.
- 3Participate in admission decisions and visit prospective residents when needed.
- 4Attend daily and weekly management meetings to address resident status, census, personnel, and complaints.
- 5Ensure compassionate care and supervision, evidenced by adequate staffing, cleanliness, and prevention of pressure wounds.
- 6Supervise nursing staff across all shifts to maintain quality standards of care.
Requirements5
- 1Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- 2Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
- 35+ years in long-term or acute health care preferred.
- 42+ years of nursing supervisory experience required.
- 5Knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
