Android/iOS Specialist - Enterprise Mobility & Microsoft Intune
Overview
Own the migration of a federal agency's mobile fleet from VMware Workspace ONE to Microsoft Intune, then run Tier 3 engineering for iOS and Android devices. You are the technical SME for enrollment, compliance, and app management across thousands of devices. Collaborate with endpoint, identity, and security teams on a hands-on engineering role, not help desk. Master Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise, and Intune to drive a secure, modern mobile environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead the technical migration of mobile devices from VMware Workspace ONE to Microsoft Intune, including planning, testing, and cutover.
- 2Configure and manage enrollment for Apple Business Manager, Google Zero-Touch, and Samsung Knox for corporate-owned and BYOD devices.
- 3Build and enforce Intune configuration profiles, compliance policies, and device restrictions for iOS and Android.
- 4Deploy and update managed apps via Intune with group-based assignments and version controls.
- 5Troubleshoot complex enrollment, authentication, and compliance issues using Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA.
- 6Implement certificate-based authentication with PKI and SCEP for mobile device security.
- 7Operate remote device actions (lock, wipe, retire) and validate device readiness after OS updates.
- 8Provide Tier 3 escalation support and document SOPs, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides.
- 9Collaborate with security and networking teams to integrate mobile threat defense and per-app VPN.
Requirements10
- 15+ years supporting enterprise mobility with iOS and Android in an MDM environment.
- 2Hands-on Microsoft Intune administration for mobile devices, including policies and app management.
- 3Experience with Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, and Google Zero-Touch.
- 4Strong skills in Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA for device access control.
- 5Proven ability to troubleshoot enrollment, compliance, and authentication issues at scale.
- 6Experience migrating devices from VMware Workspace ONE to Intune (preferred).
- 7Familiarity with Samsung Knox and Android Enterprise dedicated/kiosk deployments.
- 8Knowledge of PKI, SCEP, and certificate lifecycle management.
- 9U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation.
- 10Strong documentation and communication skills for Tier 3 support.
