Senior Endpoint Engineer, Intune & SCCM
Overview
You will own the design, engineering, and support of enterprise endpoint computing solutions across Microsoft Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows, and endpoint security platforms. You will drive automation, endpoint lifecycle management, policy governance, and platform optimization to ensure secure, reliable, and productive end-user computing at scale. Your work directly enables workforce productivity and maintains a stable enterprise environment with 12+ years of experience. This contract role in Atlanta demands deep expertise in Intune, SCCM, and GPO management within a Windows and AVD environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and engineer enterprise endpoint solutions using Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Azure Virtual Desktop to meet security and performance goals.
- 2Drive endpoint lifecycle management from provisioning to retirement, automating image deployment and patching with Intune and SCCM.
- 3Implement and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPO) to enforce security baselines and configuration standards across Windows endpoints.
- 4Optimize AVD environment for performance, scalability, and cost, managing session hosts and application delivery.
- 5Build automation scripts using PowerShell or similar to streamline endpoint provisioning and configuration processes.
- 6Partner with security teams to integrate endpoint security platforms and ensure compliance with enterprise policies.
- 7Lead incident response for endpoint-related issues, diagnosing and resolving failures in Intune, SCCM, and AVD.
- 8Document standard procedures and architecture for endpoint management to enable knowledge transfer.
- 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align endpoint engineering with business needs and emerging technologies.
Requirements9
- 112+ years of experience in endpoint engineering or related IT infrastructure roles.
- 2Expert in Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, including configuration, compliance, and conditional access.
- 3Strong hands-on experience with SCCM for operating system deployment, software distribution, and updates.
- 4Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems (10, 11, Server) and Azure Virtual Desktop administration.
- 5Proven ability to manage GPO and group policy troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- 6Experience with endpoint security tools such as Defender for Endpoint, BitLocker, or Windows Hello for Business.
- 7Skilled in PowerShell scripting for automation and integration.
- 8Familiarity with modern management techniques, including co-management and cloud-native management.
- 9Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability.
