Senior Endpoint Engineer, Intune & Azure Virtual Desktop
Overview
You will design and support enterprise endpoint solutions across Microsoft Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows, and endpoint security platforms. You'll join a team of 8 engineers supporting a global insurance client's 15,000+ endpoints, with a focus on zero-trust security and automation. This contract role stands out for its hybrid flexibility and direct impact on modernizing endpoint management.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design Intune policies and deploy Windows updates to 15,000+ endpoints within 90 days.
- 2Architect AVD session hosts and configure FSLogix profile containers for 500+ remote users.
- 3Lead migration of legacy SCCM workloads to Intune co-management, achieving 80% cloud attach.
- 4Troubleshoot Intune enrollment issues and Autopilot workflows, reducing provisioning time by 30%.
- 5Implement Windows Defender and BitLocker policies to meet compliance and security benchmarks.
- 6Build PowerShell scripts to automate endpoint health checks and patch compliance reporting.
- 7Collaborate with security teams to integrate Microsoft Defender for Endpoint with SIEM tools.
- 8Drive adoption of Azure AD join and conditional access policies for all new endpoints.
Requirements8
- 15+ years engineering endpoint solutions with Intune and Windows 10/11.
- 23+ years hands-on with Azure Virtual Desktop and FSLogix.
- 3Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management.
- 4Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policy.
- 5Experience with endpoint security tools like Defender for Endpoint and BitLocker.
- 62+ years working in the insurance sector, understanding compliance requirements.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8Windows certification such as MD-102 or AZ-140 is a plus.
