What You'll Do10
- 1Build and optimize 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC programs and setups to cut lead times by delivering robust process definitions.
- 2Design and refine manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components to meet first article and production readiness targets.
- 3Create and maintain setup documentation, tooling strategies, and shop travelers within ERP systems to streamline operations.
- 4Interpret engineering drawings GD&T blueprints and customer specs to ensure conformance and minimize rework.
- 5Support machining operations with tooling selection fixture concepts and process improvements to drive manufacturability and throughput.
- 6Edit and verify G-code and post-processor outputs for accuracy and consistency.
- 7Collaborate with machinists quality assurance and engineering teams to elevate throughput and quality metrics.
- 8Reduce setup times and optimize fixturing and feeds speeds to improve efficiency across multi-axis cells.
- 9Lead first article inspections and production readiness activities to ensure smooth ramp
- 10Maintain knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and machining strategies to sustain continuous improvement.
Requirements6
- 1Over five years of aerospace CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience
- 2Extensive experience with GibbsCAM or Mastercam
- 3Experience machining titanium and nickel alloys
- 4Ability to read GD&T blueprints and engineering models
- 5Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing documentation
- 6Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems is preferred
