Admissions Coordinator, Healthcare & Behavioral Health
Overview
The admissions coordinator will be the first point of contact for potential clients and families seeking help, guiding them through the admissions process with empathy and professionalism. You will coordinate with clinical, nursing, operations, and leadership teams to verify benefits, document referrals, and determine treatment fit. This role requires organized, calm, and effective communication in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work onsite in Phoenix with a mission-driven team focused on compassionate care.

- 6Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage and financial responsibilities
- 7Assist with billing resolution and utilization review tasks
- 8Provide support and education to clients and loved ones during admissions
- 9Maintain accurate documentation within EMR and company systems
- 10Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Requirements8
- 1Minimum of 3 years of experience handling intake admissions calls
- 2Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health preferred
- 3Strong customer service and communication skills
- 4Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- 5Knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare documentation preferred
- 6Proficient computer and documentation skills
- 7High school diploma or GED
- 8Ability to pass background check and drug screening
