Overview

Own the full admissions lifecycle across Cherry Hills Recovery and Boulder Hills Recovery, managing a team that handles 200+ inquiries monthly. Partner with clinical, billing, and outreach teams to drive timely admissions and census growth. You'll shape patient experience while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and accreditation standards. This role combines direct leadership with hands-on problem-solving for complex, high-acuity cases.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Lead and coach admissions staff, setting performance standards and managing coverage across both facilities.
  • 2Manage complex cases, including high-acuity admissions, coordinating level-of-care decisions with clinical leadership.
  • 3Oversee insurance verification, authorizations, and financial coordination to secure timely approvals.
  • 4Maintain accurate admissions data in CRM and EMR systems, building dashboards for real-time census tracking.
  • 5Ensure compliance with confidentiality and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and CARF guidelines.
  • 6Partner with outreach and marketing teams to convert inquiries into admissions, improving response times.
  • 7Develop and refine admission workflows to reduce wait times and improve patient experience from first call to intake.
  • 8Handle after-hours emergencies and escalations, ensuring seamless 24/7 coverage.
  • 9Train staff on ethical admissions practices and documentation standards.
  • 10Report on admissions metrics to executive leadership, driving data-informed decisions.

Requirements9

  • 12-3 years of admissions leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health, substance use, or mental health treatment.
  • 2High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3Deep knowledge of insurance verification, authorization processes, and payer requirements.
  • 4Proficiency with CRM systems, EMR platforms, and office software like Microsoft Office.
  • 5Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.
  • 6Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills for high-acuity admissions.
  • 7Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on compassion and discretion.
  • 8Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends as needed.
  • 9Experience with ASAM criteria or level-of-care assessment is a plus.
