What You'll Do8

  • 1Tours and interviews potential residents and families, collecting accurate data on every admission inquiry.
  • 2Facilitates admission approval decisions with the Administrator and nursing team, assigning rooms that meet resident needs.
  • 3Builds and maintains referral pipelines with hospitals and community agencies, communicating admission status in real time.
  • 4Executes all admission paperwork, including criminal background checks and offender registries, per facility policy.
  • 5Coordinates resident financial services, collecting required signatures and documents for accurate billing and Medicaid applications.
  • 6Analyzes admission and discharge data to refine the facility's marketing strategy and improve census mix.
  • 7Acts as the primary liaison between transferring institutions, residents, and internal departments to ensure seamless transitions.
  • 8Drives Quality Assurance initiatives, monitoring performance and implementing process improvements to enhance resident experience.

Requirements9

  • 1Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a licensed nurse (RN/LPN).
  • 22+ years experience in long-term care admissions or healthcare administration.
  • 3Proven track record meeting admission goals and managing referral relationships.
  • 4Expertise with PCC (PointClickCare) or similar EHR for resident records.
  • 5Strong knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare processes, including Preadmission Screening.
  • 6Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for negotiating with families and agencies.
  • 7Ability to remain calm and effective with hostile or emotionally upset individuals.
  • 8Physical ability to move throughout the facility and lift supplies as needed.
  • 9Must pass background check and meet health requirements, including TB test.
