What You'll Do10

  • 1Screen every referral for Medicaid and Medicare eligibility using insurance portals before accepting a patient.
  • 2Complete offender registry checks and initiate criminal background requests on all admissions.
  • 3Coordinate with hospital social workers and case managers to obtain missing resident information prior to admission.
  • 4Set up and manage resident move-in schedules, ensuring all agreements are signed within 72 hours.
  • 5Upload and categorize admission documents into Point Click Care (EMR) for every new resident.
  • 6Monitor the AR Aging report daily to identify past-due accounts and escalate to the corporate AR team.
  • 7Run financial meetings with residents, POAs, and guardians to collect payments and financial forms.
  • 8Track referral and admission metrics to adjust the census development strategy each month.
  • 9Represent Alden at hospital and community events to build referral relationships.
  • 10Lead quality assurance initiatives that improve the admission turnaround time.

Requirements9

  • 12+ years in healthcare admissions, marketing, or finance, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 2Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for tracking and communication.
  • 3Experience with electronic medical records systems, specifically Point Click Care.
  • 4Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid eligibility rules and insurance portals.
  • 5Ability to handle high volume in a demanding clinical environment.
  • 6Strong communication skills for interacting with hospitals, families, and internal teams.
  • 7Comfort with data analysis and financial reporting related to patient payments.
  • 8Must pass criminal background check and maintain confidentiality.
  • 9Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and move throughout the facility.
