What You'll Do19
- 1Answer and screen telephone calls directing guests to appropriate personnel
- 2Greet and direct patients families visitors and staff maintaining professional environment
- 3Respond to requests promptly delivering accurate information within authorized scope
- 4Update patient demographics and insurance details obtain specialist referrals
- 5Schedule patient appointments using modern scheduling systems
- 6Coordinate ancillary appointments and procedures liaising with hospital staff
- 7Retrieve patient information from referral sources as needed
- 8Prepare patient records for clinical activities and maintain physician documentation
- 9Act as liaison between departments and external customers providing supportive service
- 10Handle confidential information appropriately explaining policies when required
- 11Collect co-payments during patient interactions
- 12Coordinate billing tickets through established protocols forwarding fees appropriately
- 13Reconcile daily collections following organizational procedures
- 14Maintain physicians schedules and calendars
- 15Type correspondence manuscripts and assist with clinical computer systems
- 16Prepare and distribute routine reports notify confirm and remind patients of upcoming appointments
- 17Obtain radiologic exam authorizations as needed
- 18Sort copy file and distribute correspondence absent AAI assistance
- 19Participate in special projects drive process improvements upon request
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or GED minimum
- 2Associate degree preferred
- 31-3 years relevant experience
- 4Proficiency with computer systems including web applications and Microsoft Office
- 5Healthcare experience preferred
- 6Flu vaccination mandatory
