Overview
Collins Aerospace seeks an Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead AM process development at Monroe NC facility. You will own MES architecture define process parameters execute IQ OQ MQ qualifications lead SPC analysis support production builds collaborate with materials scientists and quality engineering. The role drives process capability improvements and integrates digital tools into manufacturing workflows.
What You'll Do11
- 1Own MES usage architecture for AM processes including standard operations workflows and process plan setup
- 2Define and maintain AM process parameters specifications and controlled documentation
- 3Execute IQ OQ MQ qualifications ensuring validated compliant process baselines
- 4Lead SPC tracking process capability analysis and performance monitoring
- 5Support production builds troubleshoot process issues provide technical guidance
- 6Develop build layouts optimized manufacturing processes and cell level designs
- 7Generate Golden Files as part of NPI Gate 4 activities
- 8Lead PPAP process inputs including Control Plans PFMEAs and validation evidence
- 9Create standardized reusable process templates for future production execution
- 10Collaborate with Materials Scientists to link process parameters with material behaviors
- 11Work with Quality Engineering on nonconformance investigations root cause analysis and integration of quality controls
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2U.S. citizen required for security clearance
- 3Minimum 3 years experience with laser powder bed fusion metal additive manufacturing
- 43+ years experience with MES process architecture or digital manufacturing workflows
- 5Advanced degree preferred in science engineering or related field
