Accounts Payable Clerk, Microsoft 365 & Concur in Houston
Overview
Own day-to-day invoice and payment activities for a busy finance team in Houston at scale across multiple locations. You’ll handle high volume invoice processing, account reconciliation, and supplier communication to maintain accurate payables. You will support paperless routing, three-way matching, and coding for proper reporting.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and process a high volume of vendor invoices from receipt through final reconciliation ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- 2Review vendor statements to identify open items and discrepancies and coordinate resolution
- 3Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice status payment timing and billing questions to keep accounts current
- 4Improve accounts payable coordination across sites by supporting paperless routing of invoices approvals statements and documentation
- 5Verify invoices through three-way matching against PO and receiving records while checking pricing differences discounts and compliance concerns
- 6Maintain accurate coding knowledge for accounts and cost centers to support proper financial reporting
- 7Create and update vendor profiles including W-9 review and 1099 validation activities
- 8Assist with expense reporting administration and review purchasing card exception activity to ensure policy adherence
- 9Contribute to additional accounting tasks reporting needs and special projects as assigned
Requirements8
- 1At least 1 year of experience in accounting or accounts payable
- 2Working knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals and standard accounts payable practices
- 3Strong analytical ability with solid computer proficiency in day-to-day financial processing
- 4Intermediate skills in Microsoft 365 applications including Excel Word PowerPoint and Teams
- 5Experience with invoice processing invoice coding and check run support
- 6Familiarity with BC 365 or Concur is helpful
- 7Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization
- 8Excellent organizational skills close attention to detail and persistence in resolving outstanding issues
