Overview

Own expense report reconciliation and accounts receivable collection for Alta Planning + Design, a mission-driven firm with 225+ staff. You will work directly with the general accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance. What You'll Do9

  • 1Reconcile employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • 2Verify receipts, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • 3Identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding issues with employees.
  • 4Assist with month-end reconciliation of expense-related accounts.
  • 5Maintain organized documentation and records for audit purposes.
  • 6Monitor and reconcile outstanding customer invoices.
  • 7Contact clients regarding past-due invoices via email and phone.
  • 8Research payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues with project managers and accounting staff.
  • 9Prepare aging reports and assist with AR follow-up activities.

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • 21-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts receivable experience.
  • 3Experience reconciling financial transactions and reviewing expense reports.
  • 4Microsoft Excel skills including sorting, filtering, formulas, and pivot tables.
  • 5Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred.
  • 6Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 8Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • 9Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • 10Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Oracle, or SAP is beneficial.
