Youth Travel Baseball Coach, Weekend Tournaments in Philadelphia
Overview
Lead weekend tournament teams for Guest Player Connect (GPC), coaching players ages 9U-16U from multiple states. You will manage in-game strategy, build team unity with strangers, and represent GPC's values of opportunity and fun. No practices, just tournaments close to home. This is a contract role with top pay and flexible scheduling, focused on player development without politics or pressure.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage in-game strategy, substitutions, and pitching decisions during tournaments.
- 2Arrive early and prepared for every tournament game, reviewing player information ahead of time.
- 3Lead team warmups and set expectations for each game.
- 4Build balanced lineups that ensure fair playing time for all players.
- 5Communicate clearly and professionally with players and parents.
- 6Foster a positive, development-first coaching environment.
- 7Represent GPC with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.
- 8Create a weekend experience that is both competitive and fun.
Requirements10
- 1High school or college diploma.
- 2Played high school baseball, with college experience strongly preferred.
- 3Experience and/or knowledge of the travel baseball world.
- 4Coached travel or tournament-level baseball.
- 5Confident throwing front toss/batting practice.
- 6Great with kids and passionate about player development.
- 7Available most weekends (including holidays) in the spring, summer & fall.
- 8Reliable, communicative, and able to lead new players quickly.
- 9Own transportation.
- 10Not actively coaching another team.
Salary Insight
