Overview
Part Time Youth and Young Adult Pastor role at Second Baptist Church in Las Vegas Nevada offering 25-30 hours weekly including Sundays. Reports to Senior Pastor. Focus on developing robust programming for ages 18-35 while collaborating with Youth Director and supporting Senior Pastor responsibilities.
What You'll Do14
- 1Provide pastoral care to all young people of the church
- 2Teach and preach the Word of God in an engaging manner tailored for Youth and Young Adults
- 3Collaborate with Youth Director to ensure cohesive programming across all age segments
- 4Initiate and implement comprehensive ministry programs for ages 18-35 navigating higher education careers and young families
- 5Develop dynamic teaching and pertinent discussions to guide Young Adult discipleship
- 6Plan mission and outreach initiatives reaching local communities
- 7Organize engaging off-campus gatherings small groups and social events appealing to this demographic
- 8Develop and nurture Young Adult leaders through recruitment mentorship training and empowerment
- 9Work with Youth Director and youth choir to establish Young Adult Choir and annual day
- 10Minister to non-member young people leading them to Jesus Christ
- 11Assist Senior Pastor with preaching visitation funerals weddings and administrative duties
- 12Drive special projects event planning volunteer leadership and biblical counseling
- 13Represent Senior Pastor at congregational and community events
- 14Attend and participate in external ministries and professional development opportunities
Requirements9
- 15+ years experience leading youth or young adult ministries or equivalent roles
- 2Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies Theology Ministry or related field preferred
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and standard office equipment
- 4Strong skills in social media digital media texting and modern communication tools
- 5Solid written and verbal communication abilities
- 6Active relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated through regular worship attendance prayer and Bible study
- 7Commitment to supporting Senior Pastor in fulfilling his ministerial responsibilities
- 8Willingness to become member of Second Baptist Church
- 9Experience working with digital platforms and addressing cultural pressures facing young adults
