Overview
Ministry Partner owns the administrative and logistical engine across outreach, hospitality, women’s, families, and young adults ministries at Cedar Mill Bible Church. This part-time role (about 25 hours/week, Sundays included) reports to three pastors, giving you direct impact on how smoothly events run and how people feel welcomed. You will manage calendars, emails, event logistics, and volunteer coordination, freeing pastors to focus on shepherding. The role thrives on variety: one hour you are drafting a volunteer schedule, the next you are setting up for a Sunday gathering. What You'll Do10
- 1Manage ministry email accounts and calendars for three pastors, scheduling meetings and handling data entry with precision.
- 2Capture details, decisions, and action items from ministry meetings, then drive follow-through to completion.
- 3Plan and execute event logistics for outreach, hospitality, women’s, groups, families, and young adults—reserving rooms, ordering food, and preparing name tags and sign-up forms.
- 4Provide on-site support during events and Sunday gatherings, ensuring smooth check-in and a welcoming atmosphere.
- 5Draft and send ministry communications, announcements, and reminders on behalf of pastors, maintaining a consistent voice.
- 6Process post-event follow-ups: thank-you emails, connection cards, and participant surveys to keep engagement high.
- 7Coordinate volunteer scheduling, communication, and engagement, collaborating with pastors and staff to align needs.
- 8Adapt to seasonal church rhythms, offering extra help during high-demand times like Easter or Christmas.
- 9Handle sensitive pastoral information with discretion and maturity, upholding confidentiality.
- 10Participate regularly in the life of the church, supporting its mission and values through your work and personal walk.
Requirements8
- 1Affirm the church’s Statement of Faith and live in alignment with its Seven Distinctives.
- 22+ years of administrative experience in a church or nonprofit setting, managing calendars, communications, and events.
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; willingness to learn Church Community Builder (CCB), Planning Center, and ProPresenter.
- 4Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate warmly to people of all ages and backgrounds.
- 5Demonstrated organization and attention to detail, with a track record of managing multiple priorities.
- 6Comfort multitasking and adjusting plans in a dynamic church environment.
- 7Trustworthy, flexible, and team-oriented with a servant’s heart.
- 8Mature and growing follower of Jesus Christ, evident integrity, humility, and discretion.
