What You'll Do15
- 1Move box trailers tankers export containers Iso’s and flexitanks as directed by the Production Supervisor
- 2Perform preshift visual inspection of mule daily and conduct physical inspections on Mon Wed Fri
- 3Place jack stands and chalk wheels of containers brought to dock doors if required
- 4Bring containers to weigh in and out at the scale house
- 5Receive daily empty drums totes and pails inventory from Production Supervisor to locate trailers
- 6Connect and disconnect all container types from the mule
- 7Relieve production forklift driver’s for lunch breaks if required
- 8Assume Logistics Driver duties if required
- 9Perform daily yard inventory for empty box trailers and tankers using provided inventory list
- 10Report mule mechanical breakdowns to Maintenance Supervisor
- 11Document container issues and damage to Supervisor
- 12Check diesel supply and notify maintenance when low
- 13Operate yard mule safely and assist driver with container pickup
- 14Exhibit and practice Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors
- 15Read and interpret MSDS books and understand quality policy and objectives
Requirements5
- 1Valid driver’s license
- 2Previous experience with yard mule operation preferred
- 3High School Graduate or GED desired
- 4Knowledge of plant safety rules and ability to read MSDS
- 5Physical stamina to stand walk stoop kneel crouch and occasionally sit
