Overview

You will own the safe receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products at our Houston terminal. You will report to the Terminal Manager and join a Fortune 500 team that fuels communities responsibly. You will handle tank gauging, product testing, and equipment maintenance while coordinating with pipeline, rail, truck, and marine operations. This role demands direct accountability for regulatory compliance and emergency response, with a rotating shift schedule and on-call duties.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Facilitate safe product movement between pipelines, rail cars, tanker trucks, and marine vessels by executing system lineups per procedure.
  • 2Measure product volumes with tank gauging and document transactions to meet custody-transfer standards.
  • 3Run quality assurance tests using analyzers and follow procedures to certify product specs.
  • 4Calibrate meters, pumps, and valves; repair or replace faulty parts on rack systems and vapor recovery units.
  • 5Inspect transport trucks and terminal equipment; document findings and escalate anomalies to leadership.
  • 6Execute LDAR inspections and maintain environmental compliance logs for air and water permits.
  • 7Operate forklifts and control gate access; verify visitor credentials and monitor security per protocol.
  • 8Respond to facility alarms and emergencies; lead incident investigation and reporting per OSHA standards.

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old.
  • 2Valid driver's license; TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
  • 31+ year experience in terminal operations, petrochemical, or industrial environment.
  • 4Comfort with forklift operation and fall protection harnesses.
  • 5Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather and in confined spaces.
  • 6Ability to climb ladders and work at heights; physical fitness for tank gauging.
  • 7Reside within 60 minutes of the site or relocate without assistance.
  • 8Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty.
