What You'll Do8

  • 1Supervise Treatment Nurses per scope of practice, directing wound care delivery across units.
  • 2Plan, assign, and direct work aligned with resident needs and staff capabilities during the first 90 days.
  • 3Prepare work assignments and adjust for staffing levels to ensure resident safety.
  • 4Receive staffing-related calls and arrange replacements to maintain coverage.
  • 5Transfer employees among units to meet staffing demands and wound care priorities.
  • 6Complete performance evaluations and provide input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
  • 7Adjust break schedules and resolve staff concerns to maintain unit operations.
  • 8Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management, ensuring wound care continuity.

Requirements6

  • 12+ years experience in wound care preferred.
  • 2Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with required state licensure.
  • 3Current CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • 4Current Wound Care certification required.
  • 5Supervisory experience with nursing staff preferred.
  • 6Knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
