Overview
Lead hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for transportation, rivers, and infrastructure projects at scale in North Carolina. Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop analysis approaches, confirm codes, analyze watersheds, and prepare comprehensive reports. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and review hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for projects and ensure conformance with codes and Ayres quality standards
- 2Lead or assist with technical execution on transportation, rivers, and infrastructure projects including field assessments as needed
- 3Prepare well-written, complete reports and document findings for internal and external stakeholders
- 4Oversee project staff, review work products, manage risks, and ensure smooth project execution
- 5Support proposals by defining scopes, developing fees, and participating in interviews
- 6Develop marketing opportunities and strategies with group management and business development
- 7Network with other Ayres service lines and maintain long-term client relationships
- 8Represent the firm at professional organizations and industry events
- 9Assist in positioning the team in targeted markets and strengthening brand presence
- 10Mentor junior engineers and transfer knowledge through collaboration and reviews
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in civil/hydraulic/hydrologic engineering from an accredited university
- 2Registered professional engineer (PE) in North Carolina
- 3Minimum of 7 years of experience in water resource engineering
- 4Ability to independently execute technical water resource engineering tasks
- 5Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- 6Proven oral and written communication skills
- 7Valid driver’s license and good driving record
