Warehouse Operator, Forklift & RF Scanning in Chicago
Overview
Forklift Operator will own inbound and outbound warehouse processes at scale, focusing on safe forklift operation, accurate inventory, and documentation. You will join a hands-on warehouse team, collaborating with teammates across Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control. This role differs by its emphasis on RF scanning, Bills of Lading, and a two-shift structure in a non climate controlled environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and prep customer orders while maintaining an organized shipping and receiving area
- 2Process inbound and outbound shipments and verify materials against shipping documents
- 3Load and unload pallets safely using sit-down or stand-up forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- 4Operate RF scanners to locate, pick, and record inventory for accurate order fulfillment
- 5Pack containers and bags to order specifications and quality standards
- 6Ensure accurate inventory counts and proper documentation for stock levels
- 7Coordinate and document shipments including Bills of Lading and tracking records
- 8Report discrepancies, damages, or quality concerns to supervisors promptly
- 9Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse by following safety protocols
- 10Support overall operations with additional warehouse tasks as required
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Ability to lift up to 55 pounds safely and repeatedly
- 3Experience operating sit-down forklifts
- 4Experience operating stand-up forklifts or reach trucks
- 5Hands-on forklift operation in a warehouse environment
- 6Experience in shipping and receiving processes
- 7Ability to use RF scan guns and RF scanners for inventory and order processing
- 8Knowledge of basic inventory control practices and procedures
- 9Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment and follow safety protocols
- 10Commitment to overtime as scheduled
