Forklift Operator, Warehouse & Logistics
Overview
Own the safe operation of material handling equipment in a fast paced warehouse environment with a focus on accuracy and safety. You will operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to load, unload, and move goods across the facility while maintaining precise inventory records in a WMS. You will collaborate with shipping, receiving, and inventory teams to support timely distribution. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
What You'll Do8
- 1Operate forklifts and reach trucks to load and unload shipments and move materials within the warehouse
- 2Barcode scan and pick orders ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- 3Maintain inventory in the WMS and perform regular stock counts to update records
- 4Assist in shipping and receiving by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documents
- 5Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to ensure safe operation and uptime
- 6Follow OSHA and warehouse safety standards in all tasks
- 7Organize storage areas, stack pallets safely, and apply proper manual handling techniques
- 8Support distribution activities and maintain accurate material handling records
Requirements10
- 1minimum experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in a warehouse setting
- 2familiarity with barcode scanning and inventory management
- 3experience with WMS and shipping/receiving procedures
- 4ability to perform manual handling tasks with proper lifting techniques
- 5basic math skills for quantities and measurements
- 6knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- 7physical strength for heavy lifting
- 8attention to detail and organizational skills
- 9previous warehouse supervisor or order picker experience is a plus
- 10pay rate from 18.00 per hour
