Overview
Own daily warehouse operations for a mechanical contractor supporting plumbing piping and HVAC projects at scale. Lead receiving staging storage and distribution while maintaining safety and organization. Collaborate with field crews project teams and delivery drivers to ensure timely material availability. This role blends hands-on leadership with process discipline to keep jobs moving.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving staging storage and distribution of materials
- 2Maintain organized safe and efficient warehouse operations and support field crews and project teams
- 3Receive verify and reconcile incoming deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders
- 4Coordinate material requests for field crews and project teams and stage materials for upcoming work
- 5Maintain inventory accuracy assist with cycle counts and reconciliation
- 6Monitor stock levels and communicate material needs to Purchasing
- 7Coordinate with drivers and warehouse personnel to prioritize workloads
- 8Assist with loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- 9Maintain accountability for tools equipment and company assets moving in and out of the warehouse
- 10Identify damaged missing or incorrect materials and communicate discrepancies promptly
Requirements10
- 1Previous warehouse material handling or construction mechanical industry experience
- 2Lead or supervisory experience preferred
- 3Experience with plumbing piping HVAC sheet metal or mechanical materials preferred
- 4Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests
- 5Forklift experience with certification a plus
- 6Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory tracking systems
- 7Strong communication and team-oriented approach
- 8Dependable proactive and willing to take ownership of warehouse operations
- 9Ability to work in fast-paced environment supporting multiple departments and job sites
- 10Must pass drug screen and E-Verify
