Warehouse Lead, Logistics & Supervisory Role in Kent
Overview
The Warehouse Lead will supervise warehouse operations at our Kent location, ensuring efficient receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping for an Asian food products importer and distributor. You will manage a small team on the swing shift and coordinate with drivers and freight partners. This role offers direct impact on daily fulfillment and inventory accuracy, plus growth into higher supervision.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead and supervise warehouse staff to achieve high productivity and performance
- 2Take ownership of order picking and operate Cherry Picker when needed
- 3Train associates in safety and warehouse processes and monitor adherence
- 4Assign workers to assemble customer orders and ship within defined timelines
- 5Coordinate receiving, stocking, replenishment, and inventory control activities
- 6Plan and coordinate loading and dispatch for routes
- 7Communicate with inbound and outbound freight carriers and sales personnel
- 8Contribute to establishing standard operating procedures for shipments and stock verification
- 9Assist in physical inventory every quarter and support cycle counts
Requirements10
- 1Good attendance is an absolute must
- 2Minimum of 1 year logistics admin experience
- 3Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack and Cherry Picker
- 4Able to work in a fast paced environment
- 5Must be a great team player
- 6Able to work quickly & accurately
- 7Must be able to work with multilingual staff
- 8Must be punctual & accountable
- 9Must have reliable transportation
- 10Every quarter must be present for physical inventory
