Warehouse Associate / Truck Loader - Afternoon Shift
Overview
You will own the loading and preparation of customer orders at Metro Welding Supply, a family-owned gas distributor serving Southeast Michigan since 1937. You will fill compressed gas cylinders, operate forklifts, and keep the warehouse running safely alongside an experienced team. This role offers paid training, a steady Monday-to-Friday afternoon schedule, and advancement paths in a supportive environment. Prior gas industry experience is not required.
What You'll Do6
- 1Load and unload delivery trucks, securing products for safe transport.
- 2Prepare customer orders for delivery, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- 3Fill compressed gas cylinders using provided equipment and safety protocols.
- 4Operate forklifts to move materials and support warehouse operations.
- 5Assist with general warehouse tasks, including inventory organization and cleanup.
- 6Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety guidelines.
Requirements6
- 1Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- 4Steel-toe boots required on day one.
- 5Strong attendance and dependable work ethic.
- 6Prior warehouse, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, forklift, or industrial experience is a plus, but not required.
