Warehouse Associate, Tire Distribution & Forklift Operations
Overview
You will own order picking, staging, and inventory accuracy at American Tire Distributors, moving up to 150 pounds across a coast-to-coast network serving 80,000 customers. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, and manage daily warehouse closing tasks. Your work directly supports rapid delivery of tires, custom wheels, and shop supplies. This role includes cross-training in data entry with hand-held devices and reporting, making it a fit for someone who wants to grow in logistics.
What You'll Do8
- 1Pick and stage products for order fulfillment using hand-held devices and inventory systems.
- 2Load and unload delivery trucks, handling tires up to 150 pounds via rolling, destacking, or team lifting.
- 3Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely, maintaining operator licenses.
- 4Organize warehouse stock by product line, ensuring adequate space for incoming shipments.
- 5Enter product data and verify inventory accuracy with hand-held scanners during periodic counts.
- 6Compile reports on damaged, outdated stock, over/under shipments, and returns to vendors.
- 7Maintain cleanliness of loading docks, floors, and bathrooms to meet safety standards.
- 8Assist with daily closing procedures and administrative paperwork for inventory control.
Requirements7
- 1High School diploma or GED
- 20-1 year of warehouse or related experience (preferred)
- 3Ability to lift and move products up to 150 pounds
- 4Forklift or powered industrial vehicle certification (preferred or obtained)
- 5Basic data entry skills for hand-held devices and inventory tracking
- 6Comfortable working in varied weather conditions and moderate noise levels
- 7Willing to travel 5% of the time for training or assignments
