Overview
Warehouse Associate at Vulcan Industrial owns material flow for a precision manufacturing facility serving energy, defense, and aerospace. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will interface with production staff daily and keep inventory accurate in the ERP system. What You'll Do9
- 1Unpack, inspect, and store incoming materials, documenting damages or discrepancies for reconciliation.
- 2Verify job orders against physical inventory and stage materials for production using the ERP system.
- 3Operate forklift and warehouse equipment to move and stack materials safely, following all safety codes.
- 4Keep and verify records for incoming and outgoing job orders, including cycle counts and inventory control.
- 5Collaborate with production staff to stage daily job orders and answer questions or solve material issues.
- 6Determine shipment methods based on shipping procedures, routes, and rates, and load/unload trucks.
- 7Affix labels and allocate materials to designated storage locations within the ERP system.
- 8Contribute ideas to improve warehousing procedures, including LEAN practices.
- 9Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space daily.
Requirements10
- 1High school graduate or equivalent required
- 22+ years of warehouse and forklift experience required
- 3Forklift certification preferred
- 4Intermediate PC skills
- 5Knowledge of WMS or ERP preferred (e.g., SAP, Syteline)
- 6Willingness to follow safety requirements and standard processes
- 7Mechanically inclined with use of hand tools
- 8Ability to work in a shop environment
- 9Self-motivated, goal driven, accurate, and detail oriented
- 10Punctual, reliable, adaptable to changing priorities
