Warehouse Associate Forklift
Overview
You will own receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, and supplies at a high-volume warehouse in San Jose. You will maintain inventory accuracy across Forklift operations and MRP systems, ensuring seamless support for assembly production. Working closely with internal teams, you will drive efficiency and quality in every transaction. This role demands precision and adaptability in a fast-moving environment, with opportunities to cross-train in I-Prep and Shipping/Receiving.
What You'll Do10
- 1Examine, count, and sort items, completing paperwork and preparing kitting packages for assembly production using Forklift and MRP systems.
- 2Verify all incoming stock for identification and counts, reporting discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- 3Fill internal and external customer orders, ensuring satisfactory service and accurate inventory support.
- 4Answer inventory questions and provide stock information to other departments using MRP data.
- 5Maintain accuracy in location and quantity for all items through daily cycle counts and inventory reports.
- 6Operate Forklift and other material handling devices to move goods safely and efficiently.
- 7Keep stock areas clean, organized, and safe, adhering to all safety protocols.
- 8Enter data and run inventory balance reports in MRP to cross-check stock before issuing material.
- 9Assist junior clerks with challenging inventory issues, fostering team growth.
- 10Cross-train in I-Prep, material handling, and Shipping/Receiving activities to support warehouse operations.
Requirements10
- 12+ years of warehouse or inventory experience.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Knowledge of MRP systems for inventory tracking.
- 4Ability to operate Forklift (on-the-job training provided).
- 5Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
- 6Comfort with ascending ladders, stairs, and scaffolding occasionally.
- 7Willingness to work in varied environments, including tight spaces and temperature extremes.
- 8Proficiency in computer data entry and report generation.
- 9Strong attention to detail for accurate cycle counting and inventory checks.
- 10Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and customers.
