Overview
Own the physical and systemic flow of parts through RK Logistics' San Jose warehouse, moving up to 50 lbs unassisted while operating forklifts and pallet jacks with precision. Process inbound and outbound freight, verify accuracy, and execute cycle counts in the WMS system of record. Work Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm in a team that values safety, quality, and 5S discipline. What You'll Do10
- 1Unload inbound customer product and load outbound freight using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts.
- 2Weigh product and capture DIMS measurements for accurate shipping records.
- 3Receive, unpack, and verify incoming parts against packing slips, flagging discrepancies as OSD exceptions.
- 4Pick parts for order fulfillment, shipments, and scrap requests using RF handheld scanners to confirm part numbers and locations.
- 5Pack, re-pack, and wrap product for shipment, consolidating partial pallets to maximize storage efficiency.
- 6Label parts during receipt, put-away, picking, and shipping to maintain clear traceability.
- 7Stage completed orders with proper documentation, including BOLs, packing slips, and manual tags, before dispatch.
- 8Execute cycle counts and support physical inventory to keep stock records aligned with the WMS.
- 9Maintain a clean, safe work area by following 5S and 7S standards, and report safety hazards immediately.
- 10Cross-train on other warehouse functions to support team flexibility during peak volumes.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21-2 years of warehouse and logistics experience in a distribution or fulfillment center.
- 3Forklift Certification with 1-2 years of stand-up forklift operation experience.
- 4Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook for basic data entry and communication.
- 5Strong math skills for counting, weighing, and verifying quantities.
- 6Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs unassisted, standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods.
- 7Understanding of LEAN principles and the ability to execute 5S and 7S in daily tasks.
- 8Attention to detail for accurate part verification and documentation.
- 9Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions without supervision.
- 10Demonstrated time management skills to meet high-volume picks and shipments.
