Material Handler, Manufacturing & Inventory Control
Overview
You own material flow and inventory accuracy across the production floor at a manufacturing plant in Dallas, TX. With SAP as your system of record, you manage receipts, stock placement, and order picking for multiple production lines. You coordinate with production, shipping, and quality teams to keep lines running without downtime. Every bin count and transaction you complete keeps the plant on schedule. This role puts you at the center of daily operations, where precision prevents costly errors.
What You'll Do9
- 1Receive, count, inspect, and stock raw materials with zero tolerance for count errors.
- 2Execute pick/order tickets and stage materials for production lines within shift deadlines.
- 3Process all inventory moves in SAP to maintain full traceability and real-time accuracy.
- 4Prepare and package material kits for production jobs, verifying part numbers and quantities.
- 5Inspect returned materials and run warranty checks before restocking or disposal.
- 6Run cycle counts and reconcile bin levels, escalating any discrepancies to inventory leads.
- 7Operate RF scanners and pallet jacks to move materials safely across the warehouse.
- 8Follow FIFO rotation and shelf-life rules for all stocked items.
- 9Document every material movement in logbooks, keeping records audit-ready.
Requirements9
- 11+ years in material handling or warehouse operations.
- 2Hands-on experience with SAP or other WMS for inventory transactions.
- 3Proficiency with RF scanners for picking and putaway.
- 4Ability to read pick lists and work orders without error.
- 5Experience with pallet jacks and reel counters.
- 6Knowledge of cycle counting, FIFO, and bin accuracy standards.
- 7High school diploma or GED.
- 8Capable of lifting 20+ lbs frequently and standing for full shifts.
- 9Basic English reading and writing for documentation.
