Vice President of Finance, Manufacturing & Inventory
Overview
You will own the full finance and accounting function for a privately held, product-focused organization in the Tampa Bay area, reporting directly to ownership. You will lead a small team, drive financial visibility, and partner strategically on operational improvements. This role blends hands-on technical work with high-level business partnering, offering significant influence across the company. You will modernize reporting, strengthen inventory controls, and support ERP optimization, making a tangible impact on profitability and scale.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead all accounting and finance activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- 2Manage and mentor a small accounting team, fostering accuracy and growth.
- 3Build budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial reporting packages for ownership.
- 4Partner with ownership to deliver financial analysis and data-backed recommendations.
- 5Improve business intelligence, reporting dashboards, and operational metrics using Excel and Power BI.
- 6Ensure accurate inventory accounting and enforce robust financial controls.
- 7Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
- 8Identify and implement process improvements across finance and operations, including Sage 100 enhancements.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 25+ years in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or other inventory-driven businesses.
- 3Strong inventory accounting and cost accounting experience.
- 4Experience with Sage 100 or similar ERP systems.
- 5Public accounting background combined with industry experience.
- 6CPA certification preferred.
- 7Analytical and business partnering skills, with clear communication to executive leadership.
- 8Hands-on, proactive approach, willing to challenge the status quo.
