Overview
Deliver client-centered care as a Doctor's Assistant for ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital San Fernando Valley, guiding pet owners from history to discharge in a fast-paced internal medicine setting. Work directly with Board Certified Specialists and emergency DVMs to coordinate diagnostics, treatments, and updates. Serve as the liaison between doctors, clients, and pharmacies, ensuring clear communication and empathy. What You'll Do7
- 1Guide clients through the visit from history taking to discharge, building trust and empathy.
- 2Coordinate patient diagnostics and track results for Internal Medicine cases.
- 3Organize and manage hospitalized patient treatment plans with the medical team.
- 4Prepare discharge reports and in-hospital updates for clients and referring DVMs.
- 5Communicate with clients, referring veterinarians, and pharmacies about appointments, medical concerns, and prescriptions.
- 6Serve as the primary liaison between doctors, clients, and patients during the visit.
- 7Prioritize patient care and client communication in a high-volume specialty hospital.
Requirements6
- 12+ years veterinary experience in a customer service role.
- 2Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking in a clear and audible voice.
- 3Friendly and professional demeanor with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- 4Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays.
- 5Experience with EzyVet is a plus.
