Overview
Own the daily care and support for veterinarians and technicians in a busy hospital. You will help with patient handling, exams, medications, and basic diagnostics at a midsize practice. Collaborate with a team of LVTs, veterinarians, and support staff in a culture that prioritizes compassionate care for pets and clients. What You'll Do10
- 1Build compassionate care for patients by greeting clients, taking vitals, and assisting with examinations
- 2Assist doctors and technicians with medications, restraint, and treatments to improve patient comfort
- 3Execute laboratory tests and radiographs to support diagnostic decisions
- 4Operate and maintain hospital equipment and perform routine safety checks
- 5Triage and calm anxious patients and ensure accurate documentation of care and medications
- 6Fill prescriptions, document controlled substances, and maintain secure records
- 7Maintain a clean, organized hospital environment and proper grooming for overnight patients
- 8Educate clients about wellness plans and hospital services to support informed decisions
- 9Support doctors during dentistry, surgery, radiology, or emergency duties as assigned
- 10Promote hospital products and services and contribute to a positive client experience
Requirements10
- 1Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
- 2Must be at least 18 years old
- 3Ability to work day shifts with weekends rotation
- 4Comfort with animal restraint and handling in a clinical setting
- 5Strong communication skills with clients and team members
- 6Ability to follow oral and written directions and maintain accurate records
- 7Demonstrated reliability with consistent attendance
- 8Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- 9Willingness to comply with safety and wellness regulations
