What You'll Do11
- 1Evaluate and repair control globe check ball butterfly and plug valves
- 2Assess pneumatic hydraulic and electric actuators
- 3Perform pre-testing disassembly cleaning and machining of components
- 4Calibrate valves and instruments following National Board VR/UV standards
- 5Document repair processes and determine root causes
- 6Communicate technical issues and provide troubleshooting support
- 7Maintain safety quality and housekeeping standards
- 8Participate in Safety Quality and Activities Committees
- 9Follow National Board VR/UV program guidelines
- 10Adhere to site-specific safety requirements
- 11Operate overhead cranes forklifts and other heavy equipment
Requirements9
- 15+ years valve-related experience or nuclear industry background
- 2High school diploma and basic computer proficiency
- 3Ability to lift 50 pounds and work extended hours weekends
- 4Knowledge of rigging lifting and hazardous environments
- 5Experience with repair equipment overhead cranes and power tools
- 6Strong mechanical aptitude problem solving and attention to detail
- 7Physical stamina for standing walking kneeling climbing
- 8Driver eligibility and willingness to work nonstandard schedules
- 9Commitment to safety protocols and teamwork
