Overview
We seek a skilled HVAC Service Technician with two years experience to handle residential commercial and statewide installations and replacements. Our Charlotte Metro based company offers onsite work with competitive pay and benefits. Expect on-call availability overtime and weekends.
What You'll Do26
- 1Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues including furnaces AC units heat pumps and air handlers
- 2Perform repairs on mechanical electrical and refrigeration components
- 3Inspect equipment to identify wear damage or potential failures
- 4Ensure proper system performance and customer comfort
- 5Conduct system start-ups on newly installed HVAC equipment
- 6Verify installation quality airflow refrigerant charge and system operation
- 7Calibrate thermostats controls and system settings
- 8Document startup procedures and report deficiencies
- 9Remove and replace HVAC equipment such as condensers furnaces air handlers and duct components
- 10Assist with or independently perform equipment installations
- 11Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications and local codes
- 12Test systems after replacement to confirm proper operation
- 13Conduct routine maintenance visits including cleaning inspections and tune-ups
- 14Replace filters check electrical connections lubricate moving parts and test safety controls
- 15Recommend repairs or system upgrades when necessary
- 16Communicate clearly with customers about system issues repair options and costs
- 17Maintain professional appearance and provide recommendations for system efficiency
- 18Complete service reports work orders and maintenance logs accurately
- 19Follow all safety protocols OSHA regulations and maintain EPA compliance for refrigerant handling
- 20Hold a high school diploma or equivalent with trade school preference
- 21Possess EPA certification
- 22Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 23Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- 24Read schematics and technical manuals effectively
- 25Work independently and as part of a team
- 26Lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces

- 12+ years of HVAC service experience or entry level with training
- 2EPA Certification required
- 3High school diploma or equivalent with technical trade school preference
- 4Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 5Strong understanding of HVAC systems tools and diagnostics
- 6Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- 7Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- 8Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
- 9Experience with smart HVAC systems or advanced controls (preferred)
- 10Experience with residential compensation and benefits (customizable)

$62 - $83k per year
