Lead Industrial Controls Technician, Valve Automation
Overview
You will own the installation, retrofit, and repair of process instrumentation across the Southwest. In the field and shop, you will calibrate transmitters, diagnose MOVs, and engineer mounting hardware for valve actuators. You will lead customer training and promote service agreements while working on a team. This role gives you a company truck, employee ownership, and 75% travel across AZ, CA, HI, NV.
What You'll Do7
- 1Install new pressure and temperature transmitters and related process instrumentation at customer sites.
- 2Calibrate level, pressure, and temperature transmitters to exacting standards.
- 3Triage and resolve issues with MOVs, field instruments, and final control devices.
- 4Conduct MOV diagnostics and capture field measurements for performance analysis.
- 5Engineer mounting hardware for actuator/valve interfaces, designing brackets and couplings for electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators.
- 6Build customer relationships by promoting service agreements and leading on-site training.
- 7Document all work and measurements for compliance and reliability.
Requirements6
- 15+ years in field service or instrumentation, with power generation background preferred.
- 2Proven calibration mastery for level, pressure, and temperature transmitters.
- 3Working knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation.
- 4Electrical literacy across single/three phase, AC/DC, reading schematics.
- 5Expertise with electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve actuators.
- 6Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
Salary Insight
$73 - $83k per year
