Utility BESS EPC Project Director
Overview
The Integrated BESS Executive Director leads development and growth of Battery Energy Storage System solutions for technology and mission-critical clients. This full-time position requires establishing scalable execution models and service offerings while shaping project lifecycle strategies. The role drives commercial success through strategic planning and client engagement.
What You'll Do16
- 1Develop and execute strategic plan for growing the Integrated BESS business segment
- 2Create and execute strategic planning and business development initiatives for technology clients
- 3Design scalable execution models supporting EPC and professional services engagements
- 4Establish organizational processes improving efficiency and profitability
- 5Coordinate with internal business development while maintaining primary accountability for execution strategy
- 6Manage portfolio revenue and forecast accuracy
- 7Lead development of streamlined commercial models for technology and data center customers
- 8Develop proposal structures that improve speed and clarity during project pursuit
- 9Standardize Integrated BESS proposal packages and risk frameworks
- 10Direct project directors and managers ensuring safe on-schedule and on-budget delivery
- 11Collaborate with legal and procurement teams on contract administration
- 12Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance management
- 13Monitor forecasts and earned value metrics
- 14Build and lead high-performing integrated execution organization
- 15Recruit and develop project managers while mentoring emerging leaders
- 16Promote culture of accountability and innovation
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 212+ years in energy infrastructure EPC power generation microgrids
- 35+ years leadership managing large multidisciplinary organizations
- 4Experience delivering both EPC projects and technical services engagements
- 5Service technology clients including hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure
- 6Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems microgrids onsite generation renewable integration
- 7Proven ability to develop scalable execution models and proposal structures
- 8Strong commercial contractual and risk management acumen
- 9Experience coordinating engineering procurement construction commissioning and controls
- 10Excellent executive leadership and client management skills
- 11Minimum qualifications meet all listed requirements
