Traveling HVAC Service Technician, Field Maintenance & Onsite Support
Overview
Own field service operations across multiple states with travel to client sites. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment for national accounts and oversee on site installations and modifications. Work with a supportive in house team of managers and technicians and provide direct customer contact. This role offers travel up to two weeks at a time and opportunities to develop technical expertise across systems.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications on customer sites
- 2Diagnose, repair, and service HVAC units using hand tools and engineering specifications
- 3Prepare for installation by reviewing building layouts, coordinating materials, and ensuring on site readiness
- 4Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment, document work and parts, and manage time and cost records
- 5Provide technical support to customers and communicate findings to Operations Manager
- 6Travel regularly with potential overnight stays, and support weekends or overtime when needed
- 7Read and interpret product specifications to support installations and repairs
- 8Order parts and track material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment
- 9Maintain accurate paperwork and reports including daily time, progress, and duration
- 10Represent the company professionally as a direct customer contact
Requirements5
- 15 years of experience in HVAC service and field maintenance
- 2Willingness to travel up to two weeks at a time and regular travel across AZ, NM, CA, OR, WA
- 3Ability to read blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
- 4Experience performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, and on site modifications
- 5Strong communication skills and customer service when interfacing with clients
