HVAC Service Technician, Commercial & National Accounts
Overview
You will own HVAC service and maintenance for national corporate accounts across Seattle, diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems on site. You work within a skilled field team supported by dedicated office managers, handling everything from routine preventative maintenance to complex emergency repairs. This role demands technical precision and customer-facing professionalism, with a focus on keeping top U.S. corporations running smoothly. You get direct access to varied commercial equipment and the autonomy to manage your own service calls end-to-end.
What You'll Do9
- 1Diagnose and repair HVAC units using hand tools and blueprints, ensuring customer satisfaction on every job.
- 2Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and system replacements or modifications per client requests.
- 3Prepare for on-site work by inspecting building layouts, anticipating challenges, and gathering necessary materials.
- 4Inspect and maintain service vehicles, keeping records and scheduling repairs to keep them road-ready.
- 5Monitor equipment for wear and tear, reporting findings to customers and the Operations Manager.
- 6Document each job completely, including time, progress, and parts used, and maintain accurate files.
- 7Order replacement parts based on urgency and track all material, labor, and cost data for each assignment.
- 8Provide technical support to customers and stay current on product specifications and installation, operation, and maintenance procedures.
- 9Travel regularly, including overnight trips, and work overtime or weekends as needed to meet service demands.
Requirements10
- 13+ years of hands-on HVAC service and repair experience.
- 2Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for vehicle inspection and travel.
- 3Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
- 4Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems.
- 5Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and travel overnight as required.
- 6Excellent customer service and communication skills for direct client interaction.
- 7Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- 8Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments.
- 9Knowledge of HVAC codes and safety regulations.
- 10High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification a plus.
