What You'll Do8

  • 1Manage ventilator settings and titrate vasopressors for ICU patients, documenting responses in the EMR.
  • 2Administer continuous sedation and analgesia, monitoring sedation scales and adjusting drips.
  • 3Perform rapid response assessments and lead code blue events, using ACLS protocols.
  • 4Coordinate with intensivists and respiratory therapists to adjust treatment plans during shift.
  • 5Educate patients and families on critical care procedures and discharge plans.
  • 6Monitor for adverse reactions to BLS-guided interventions and escalate care as needed.
  • 7Maintain fluid balance and electrolyte stability through strict I/O and lab monitoring.
  • 8Document all interventions and patient status changes in real-time to support continuity of care.

Requirements8

  • 12+ years of acute care experience, with recent MICU or ICU background.
  • 2Active state licensure as a Registered Nurse in MA or compact state.
  • 3Current BLS and ACLS certifications at start date.
  • 4Proficiency in ventilator management, central line care, and vasoactive drip titration.
  • 5Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and handle emergent situations.
  • 6Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends) including holidays.
  • 7Completion of a nursing diploma or BSN degree from an accredited program.
  • 8Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred.
