Overview
Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients in a Boston hospital ICU, managing patient ratios of 1:2-3 on a 12-hour night shift (7 PM-7:30 PM). Work within a 13-week assignment, using EPIC for all charting and documentation. Collaborate with a dedicated care team. This role demands an active MA RN license and current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications. You will not have local residency or prior BILH employment without a break.
What You'll Do7
- 1Manage a 1:2-3 patient assignment, delivering high-acuity care in the ICU setting.
- 2Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC.
- 3Administer medications, titrate drips, and monitor hemodynamic status under ACLS protocols.
- 4Respond to emergencies, initiating BLS and ACLS algorithms as needed.
- 5Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- 6Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and post-discharge care.
- 7Complete Tele/ECG and medication testing if required for the assignment.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of recent ICU experience
- 2Active MA RN license
- 3Current BLS (AHA) certification
- 4Current ACLS (AHA) certification
- 5EPIC EMR proficiency
- 6COVID (with booster) and Flu vaccination, with medical exemptions allowed
- 7No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
