What You'll Do11

  • 1Classify products using HTSUSA criteria
  • 2Apply judicial and international regulations to product classifications
  • 3Advise clients on alternative designs to minimize import duties
  • 4Input classification determinations into product databases
  • 5Conduct line reviews focusing on classification and regulatory requirements
  • 6Prepare operational reports including shipment forecasts and water movements
  • 7Manage staff training on classification and regulatory issues
  • 8Travel up to ten percent of the time
  • 9Maintain confidentiality while interacting with clients and government officials
  • 10Develop broker scorecards and manage overage/shortage analyses
  • 11Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate customs documentation

Requirements10

  • 1Minimum five years experience in customs brokerage or import companies
  • 2Expertise in textile and apparel classification systems
  • 3Knowledge of United States Harmonized Tariff Schedule
  • 4Familiarity with US Customs and Border Protection regulations
  • 5Valid PC license and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • 6Strong analytical abilities for interpreting complex regulations
  • 7Excellent communication skills for client and manager interactions
  • 8Ability to maintain professional relationships under confidentiality constraints
  • 9Capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • 10Proven track record of meeting deadlines in high-demand settings
