Trade Compliance Specialist II, HTS & Customs
Overview
You will own UCT's master HTS code database and drive import/export compliance across our semiconductor equipment operations. You'll coordinate with customs brokers, manage Post Summary Corrections, and prepare audit documentation for CBP inquiries. Working alongside a dedicated compliance team, you'll support duty drawback programs and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers direct exposure to U.S. Customs regulations in a fast-evolving industry.
What You'll Do7
- 1Develop and maintain UCT's master HTS code database, including Country of Origin and material composition research.
- 2Coordinate with customs brokers to align import processes and manage Post Summary Corrections (PSC).
- 3Prepare and maintain documentation packages for U.S. Customs audits and CBP inquiries.
- 4Support data collection and documentation for duty drawback programs with third-party providers.
- 5Participate in ongoing CBP and tariff training seminars and webinars.
- 6Assist with import/export compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 7Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to ensure accurate classification.
Requirements8
- 16+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or related industry.
- 24+ years with U.S. export laws, CBP regulations, and customs compliance.
- 3Strong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations and CBP procedures.
- 4Proficiency in HTS classification and documentation management.
- 5Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- 6Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- 7Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external brokers.
- 8Ownership mindset and adaptability to evolving compliance needs.
