Overview
Lead Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification compliance ensuring US and Canada import regulations for over $1B merchandise. Interpret dynamic requirements from government agencies including USDA FDA F&W CPSC EPA CFIA NRCAN Health Canada. Research antidumping and countervailing cases to reduce duty spend. Provide tariff engineering guidance to merchandising and sourcing teams.
What You'll Do9
- 1Analyze new antidumping and countervailing cases to minimize duty costs
- 2Develop classification basics training for cross-functional teams
- 3Maintain accurate SKU and classification data for Order Manager and customs brokers
- 4Determine duty and tariff calculations and PGA/OGA requirements
- 5Advise teams on antidumping and countervailing mitigation strategies
- 6Research binding rulings and conduct tariff engineering
- 7Participate in classification and duty guidance sessions
- 8Collaborate with internal teams on import compliance processes
- 9Ensure proper documentation for customs clearance operations
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma minimum
- 2US Customs Broker license or CCS certification preferred
- 33+ years customs clearance entry writing experience
- 4Prior customs brokerage or import compliance role experience
- 5Bachelor's degree preferred
- 6Ability to work onsite in Irving Texas
- 7Familiarity with Excel functions including vlookup pivot tables and standard formulas
- 8Knowledge of USHTS classification standards
- 9Understanding of federal state and local legal requirements
